BOARD OF IMMIGRATION APPEALS (BIA)

The BIA is the highest authority for reviewing decisions regarding immigration petitions. There are many instances in which an individual has the right to present their case with the BIA. Among many, facing removal proceedings because a case was denied before an immigration judge and questioning the denial of an asylum case are reasons to seek legal help for reconsideration before the board of immigration appeals.

It is possible to represent yourself in these cases. However, it may not be in your best interest to do so. It is highly advised that in these cases you allow an attorney to review the case you initially presented in immigration court and the reason for the denial of your case. This ensures that you will be guided appropriately and be timely and precise with the appeal you will present before the board of immigration appeals.

If you have a case that was denied by immigration and would like to have an attorney review it, please call our office to set up a consult with our attorney who has years of experience with appeals.
